about us

WELCOME to Faith and Home Publishing! We are so glad you stopped by.

Based in South-Central Montana with a lovely view of the Beartooth Mountain Range (in The Rocky Mountains), we began this venture after much prayer over a long-time dream to take years of writing and ideas and put them in print for hands everywhere to hold and be inspired by.

While our call to build an indy-publishing company began with books on homeschooling, we have accumulated quite the diversified project pile behind-the-scenes as is often reflected through the various topics on the blog. We do continue to work on some homeschooling material, at the same time, other topics such as Bible Study, Devotions,  Homemaking, Relationships, and even children's books and Christian fiction, are being fleshed out for upcoming releases.

To complement the array of books slated for release, we are also developing other printed material to include guided journals, conversion charts, menu planners and more. Currently you can find some of this growing collection for FREE on our Resources page and other products for sale in our Etsy shop*** Our desire is to equip women and their families with the tools they need to succeed in Faith, Home, and LIFE! There are no limits when you let the Lord write the stories and guide the material!

Below you will find a more detailed introduction of each member of our team, currently Mama Jones and her two daughters (grown and artistic)! Family businesses really are the best! (Papa Jones is our behind-the-scenes tech guy and cheerleader!) Ready to meet everyone?

Hi...

...I'm Amanda! Owner/Operator/Editor-In-Chief, et al... I have been writing since I could hold a pencil, words are my passion (a close second behind my heart for God and family!). I always dabbled in story and poetry writing. My first 'big break' came in high school with editorials for local newspapers and periodicals, a trend which followed me into adulthood as I continued writing books and even headed up newsletters for various organizations. I jumped on the blogging bandwagon back in 2008, at first to chronicle our homeschool journey on my own site, faithfulhomeschool.com, so family and friends far away could follow along.  Like any good venture, though, it blossomed and grew to become "Faith and Home", exploring a variety of topics on faith, home, homeschool and family… sparking our Faith & Home franchise today! Now, as we enjoy the roaring 20s (2020s!) I am blessed for the opportunity to pursue a lifetime dream of growing a publishing company.

Faith is an integral part of all we do here. While I have always loved to write and create, I did not always know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Over 25 years ago, standing in a small white chapel beside a beautiful glacier-fed lake cradled by the grand Rockies, breathing in the sweetness of my second youngest as he nestled sleeping against my chest, I had a life-transforming come-to-Jesus moment. The pastor's sermon on true sacrifice struck deep and I FINALLY understood the message of Scripture. Realizing the depth of my sin and the power of Jesus on the cross - I surrendered. Having lived wildly until that point in my mid-twenties, I knew CHANGE was imperative. I took every opportunity to study and grow, jumping on the chance to train with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) and other organizations to learn how to examine and TEACH God's Word well.

Adding these lessons to my history of pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, teaching in public school (art), homeschooling our youngest three children through to graduation (we have a total of four), and writing for various periodicals and newsletters - I grew a diverse list of experiences. The most transformative were the 3 years our family spent serving in missions here in the United States as church plant catalysts in ministry support and community development.

We are not currently “actively” serving in missions, however, as a believer, I feel we are called to live missionally at all times
. The message we felt Led to share in the field, “It’s not about religion, it’s about relationship”, is one I am passionate to share and teach how to integrate in every aspect of life: daily living, Bible study, interactions with spouse, parenting, homeschooling, and homemaking. It is the essence of Faith & Home Publishing. My blog has always reflected this and now, through our little publishing company, I am blessed to be able to create farther-reaching content by way of books and tools which can be used to grow and edify readers in their walk with Christ through the day-to-day, rooted in deep faith because "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1)

Blogging continues as a way to connect and share in the small moments, day-to-day. I currently do not have the backlog I had hoped for at this point due to a slowdown in our progress in 2024 when I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. I had not been feeling well for months, making it increasingly more difficult to work. When we finally discovered the cancer, it had eaten away a lot of bone, grown tumor clusters, and nearly took my life. However, God’s timing was perfect and, after surgeries and treatments, we have been declared “in maintenance mode” which is the closest you can get to “remission” with this incurable disease.

Rounding out “me” are my 4 grown children in their 20s and 30s now. You can meet two of them below! My boys, Zach, married and living in Chicago, and Brenden, still living close, do their own cool things! You may hear them mentioned from time-to-time in posts both here and on Social Media. As you will also see reading on, Brooke and her hubby blessed us with our first grandbaby in 2024! My mind has already been turning with articles for new moms AND for grand-moms like myself. My Cocker Spaniel, Molly, keeps me on my toes, she is occasionally featured in my social media content along with our 3 household cats and Ashley's fluffy mini American Eskimo, Rowan! Both pups like helping us build our urban homestead as we garden and can and share how-tos.

Like faith, this publishing endeavor is not about business, it is about *relationship* - we always welcome emails, comments, and requests. I'm also happy to share about any of our F&H Pub topics, espcially our books. If you would like to request an appearance, you can reach out through email or IG dm. I am most active on my Instagram account which does tie into Facebook, if that is more your thing! We are planning to re-launch our Newsletter as well (no spamming, I promise) so be sure to pop over to the side-bar on the blog page and sign up! We seek to include exclusive content and updates bi-monthly (for now) on all things Faith AND Home!

Howdy...

... Ashley M. Jones here, Graphics Designer and Artist! I dabble in a little creative writing as well but I mostly love to focus on art. I mainly draw horses and other fun vector style art which you can see by visiting my Instagram account @gal5_artz (a nod to Galatians 5, especially v13!) My love of horses and drawing has been a hobby since I was young. Then, in 2023, with encouragement from my parents, I decided to turn my hobby into a career when I began working in digital design professionally; creating logos, business items, and now book covers!
Faith paints all that I do. I grew up in a Christian home and have loved Jesus through the highs and lows. When I was in 4th grade, my mom removed me from public school to homeschool me (and my younger siblings). Let me tell you, it was the best thing that has ever happened to me, next to the missions work we did as a family. School itself wasn't always easy. I have a form of temporal lobe epilepsy which, when I was growing up, made it hard for me to retain information at times. Before homeschooling, I struggled to get my homework done or keep up with my class. I don't think I would have been able to make it in public school with teachers who were not willing to work with that AND the added issue of my ADHD. It didn’t help, either, having peers who tried to pull me into things I didn't want to do or bully me in and out of school. Over the years, even though it was hard to remember things, I have appreciated all my mother did for me during our homeschool time. I was able to really learn and grow in knowledge and understanding, despite the challenges I faced.

Now, as a grown woman, I hope I can help her reach other moms and encourage them in their calling to homeschool too. I also look forward to all of the other creative projects she has planned for women in general, as I know her other passions are to teach women to study their Bible and encourage homemeakers with a Titus 2 mindset.

Hello...

… it’s me, Brooke Vance [nèe Jones], youngest in the Jones clan! Like my sister, I have always been artistic. Some of my favorite memories growing up were attending craft fairs with my mom, helping her run her table, and eventually having a table with my siblings when I was still in elementary school (we jumped in on the rubber band art craze and people loved purchasing our creations!) My current passion is watercoloring. I have also enjoyed painting with acrylic and trying new and unique art forms such as paint pouring and spray paint street art. I have had commissions on projects big and small since I was in my teens, including murals in homes and public spaces. I felt extraordinarily honored during a local festival a few years ago when I was approached by a gallery regarding my work!  However, what they didn’t know, was that at festival’s end I would be packing up with my sights set on marriage and a move 800 miles away!! Art is everywhere, though, and now, I am blessed by the opportunity to work with my mom on design for books, especially a soon-to-be released children’s book series – something near and dear to my heart since I have always loved working with children and now, I became a mother myself in 2024!
As with the rest of my family, faith underpins my life’s experiences and infuses the work I do. I was very young when I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, yet my parents equipped and encouraged me to have my own firm understanding of what that meant. I attended AWANA, summer camp, and youth group, all of which furthered my conceptions… not to mention working alongside my family in missions work and having Bible study as part of our homeschool curriculum. My confidence was further rooted in remembering God’s Word as He said, “Don’t let anybody look down on you for your youth but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)

When our family exited full-time missions and moved to south-central Montana, I took up the outreach mindset by joining Christian Youth in Action and spending high school summers teaching at 5-day Backyard Bible Clubs or painting faces to share the Wordless Book at state fairs. After high school I worked in a Christian Preschool where my favorite parts of the day were story time and crafts. During the summer I volunteered as a camp counselor before moving on to study education at Iowa’s Faith Baptist Bible College where I realized; while I loved teaching and working with children, my greatest passion was art and family.

I'm back in beautiful northwest Montana, near Glacier National Park, where I first grew up. I miss my family, but hubby, two spunky cats, and our daughter keep me busy. With her in tow, I hope to follow in my mother’s footsteps of sharing entrepreneurship at art shows with her and I am excited to bring these passions to the pages of Faith & Home publications as well… not to mention helping my mom with a bit of on-site editing when she needs it, too! If you are interested in commissioning me for work, currently you can reach out through email here. Online displays are coming soon!

Hello...

...I'm AJ! Support Specialist and Entrepreneur, encouraging and helping Amanda behind the scenes! I always love new opportunities and project to try. Knowing my wife's passion to write, I was excited to grow Faith & Home Publishing with her. I've been working in I.T. and Web Design for over 15 years, currently contracted as a Sharepoint Developer for the government. I got my start building websites for missionaries in the field and providing tech support for new church plants.

Christ-centered work was not always my passion. Two years into our marriage my wife became a Christian. What I didn't know at the time was that she found herself on a mission to pray for my salvation every.single.day for the next 10 years. Seeing her transformed and walking out her faith really began to impact me. After almost 40 years of trying to do life my way, I knew it was time for something different. I wanted to know who God was and began to search. Scripture reading and Bible study helped me in that direction. Then, as the radio was playing in the background one day, I overheard an advertisement for a 30-day challenge (listening to only Christian music for 30 days because it takes 30 days to form a habit). I had a lot of baggage to throw off and that challenge changed everything. I sought forgiveness for my sins and invited Jesus to take over my life... I've been serving Him ever since.

Now, I live by Matthew 6:33 pray over every project, knowing how tasks in the hands of a mighty God, often have a smoother outcome! I make that commitment in my 9-5 job, and I make it here each time Amanda needs a hand with the technical side or simply some encouragement to help her keep the course she feels Called to.
